Nakheel Mall, the luxury shopping destination on Palm Jumeirah, partners up with Springs 15, an organization that manages Asian events and projects in the UAE, and The Grace & Co, a gallery showcasing and discovering artists worldwide through the network of global art industry to house a one-of-a-kind K-art gallery starting June 24 to July 22 from 10 am to 7 pm at The Crystal Dome (east), the mall’s rooftop.
The month-long exhibition will feature 17 masterpieces from 2 world renowned artists, Son Jin-Hyoung and Kim Jong- Sook. The interactive gallery will be free-of-charge for Nakheel Mall and The View’s visitors.
Art enthusiasts can look forward to Kim Jong-Sook’s captivating collection of shimmering landscapes that provides a contrast between the ancient tradition of Korean landscape painting and the urban luxuries of the 21st century consumer culture. The landscapes start out with traditional acrylic paintings that are then embroidered with assorted jewels such as crystals, pearls and opals, giving them a touch of modernity. Son Jin-Hyoung’s series of artworks delves into positive energy and the continuous eruption of power through the constant leap of life and voluntary movement.
