Celebrate National Day weekend with live shows, prizes and more at new retail and entertainment destination
Maserati among AED1 million worth of prizes
Nakheel Mall, the new shopping, dining and entertainment destination at the heart of Palm Jumeirah, will open on Thursday, 28 November, with a huge range of live events and promotions in store for the UAE National Day weekend and beyond.
The new centrepiece of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah, the AED1.2 billion mall has five retail levels with more than 300 shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets and services, including MODO department store, Depachika Food Hall, a 14- screen Vox Cinemas complex, Waitrose supermarket, H&M, Trampo Extreme, Fabyland, Dubai London Clinic and Fitness First.
Nakheel Mall is easily accessible by rail, road or on foot: its Palm Monorail station will be operational on opening day, and there are direct road links to 4,000 parking spaces as well as pedestrian access via Al Ittihad Park and Marina Residences.
Nakheel Mall is also the access point for The View at The Palm, a public observatory perched on the top of The Palm Tower, 230 metres above the island. The View will open in 2020.
A host of live entertainment, promotions and activities will take place at Nakheel Mall over the National Day weekend and beyond, with AED1 million worth of prizes – including a brand new Maserati – up for grabs for every AED250 spent between 28 November and 7 December. Visitors can catch My Little Pony and Baby Shark live, with roaming entertainment, live bands and children’s workshops, too.

Residents on The Palm are welcoming the new mall. Yvonne White, who lives at The Shoreline Apartments, said: “I’ve been watching this mall come to life since construction began, and am very much looking forward to its opening next week. Living just a stone’s throw away, I can walk there in seconds, and do all my shopping under one roof, without having to leave the island.”
Nakheel Mall opens at 10 am on Thursday, 28 November, with operational hours from 10 am to 10 pm on weekdays, and 10 am to 12 midnight on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Timings for the live activities, taking place on Level 1, are:
- My Little Pony live: 28 and 29 November at 4 pm, 6.30 pm and 8 pm
- My Little Pony workshops: 28 November to 3 December, 3 pm to 10 pm
- Baby Shark live: 1 to 3 December at 4 pm, 6.30 pm and 8 pm
- Roaming entertainment, live bands: 28 November to 3 December
