JYSK opened its first store in Denmark in 1979 by owner Lars Larsen the leading merchant who always has “a great offer”.
Over the past 40 years, JYSK is turned into an international retail chain that sells 'everything for the home. JYSK opens an average of 2 sores every week and is among the largest retailer of duvets, pillows and mattresses. Selling approximately 3.8 million mattresses and more than 10 million pillows each year. JYSK covers all home needs, offering furniture, home and bathroom accessories, garden and balcony furniture.
Today the JYSK Group comprises more than 2,800 stores in more than 52 countries worldwide.
The word 'JYSK' has always been intentionally included in the company name. In Danish 'JYSK' designates anything or and is often associated with modesty, thoroughness and honesty.
JYSK stands for trustworthiness, and a deal is always a deal. JYSK UAE promises the values of JYSK international, opening its doors for the first time in the UAE on March 1, 2018 with its flagship store on Umm Suqeim Street.
